OUR STORY
Komanetsi’s journey began in 1982 when Georgios Kantzilaris founded the first Komanetsi swimming pool at the School for the Blind in Nicosia. Over time, feedback from clients revealed the growing demand for a space that could cater to the fitness needs of every family member.
In 2002, under the leadership of Thomas Kantzilaris, the facility expanded with the construction of a modern building directly opposite the School for the Blind in Acropolis. This new center met all required specifications and marked the beginning of a new era for Komanetsi Aquatic and Fitness Center. It combined hydrotherapy, a swimming pool, and a fully equipped gym under one roof.
Two key players have played a fundamental role in the expansion of the business. Monica Kyriacou, Head of the Sales Department, has been instrumental in building client relationships and growing the membership base, while Olga Kantzilari has expertly managed operations in the pool department, ensuring smooth and efficient services.
From its inception, Komanetsi has operated with official approval from the Cyprus Sports Organization. As a family-run business, Komanetsi continues to build on its legacy, offering a holistic approach to fitness and wellness for all ages.
